Digi International , the leader in Wireless M2M technology, is challenging engineers, students and hobbyists to develop a creative solution that demonstrates how to conserve resources using elements of the following iDigi kits: iDigi BLS4100 Add-on Kit ZB , iDigi X4 Starter Kit ZB & iDigi Wi-9P Starter Kit ZB . Contestants will be required to use one of three new iDigi wireless development kits.
The contest will award more than $20,000 in total prize money.The contestants can purchase a kit, design the solution and submit it.The contest will award more than $20,000 in total prize money.Three overall winners will be announced at ESC Silicon Valley 2010.Applications must be based on the 3 core iDigi kits being sold as part of this competition; it is not essential that Digi components are the only materials used in the design. Each submission must be the original work and sole and exclusive property of the person or team who submits it. Participants may enter more than one project into the competition. Kits are sold for $149 to end user customers and $75 to Students (Valid Student ID required).
Applications should be submitted in one of the 4 categories below:
1. Energy Saving for Electrical Consumption
2. Energy Saving for Water Consumption
3. Energy Saving for Natural Gas or Fuel Consumption
4. Eliminating or Monitoring Air Pollution
Eligibility:
Open to international participants above 18 years.
