    well… the recouncelling will commence from 9 of august…..and the reporting time is 10 am…the wait-listed candidates have to bring the wait-list form which had being issued to them at the time of their councelling… and other original and xerox(attested) testimonials.
    According to my knowledge..in recouncelling there will be nearly 2000 seats to be filled up….about 500 vacant seats and others from extension of seats in different streams like cse, ece, it, me, etc….of different colleges like IEM, narula, jis , gurunqanak, tecno india college of tecnology, mckv institutes.
    so please visit the AICTE official websities and see the status of approval of extension of seats in west bengal engineering colleges and there you will find the detail informations.
    but as of now…in media there is a “million dollar question” plying all over that will these extension of seats finally get sanction from wbut or not….if not then recouncelling will be held for filling up the 500 odd no of vacant seats.
    According to latest news central selction commitee will be having a meeting on 5th august with wbut officials and higher education ministry about this matter.
    So best of luck to all you guys…hopr that you will get a good stream in good colege…

    THE INFORMATION YOU ARE WANTING CAN’T BE AVAILABLE IN ANY WBJEE OR CSC-ET WEBSITES…YOU WILL GET NOTICED AT THE TIME OF RECOUNCELLING IN 9TH AUGUST.

    BUT AS PER MY KNOWLEDGE, THERE ARE MORE THAN 550 SEATS VACANT IN DIFFERENT ENGINEERING COLLEGES.

    NEARLY 150 TO 170 SEATS ARE THERE ON KOLKATA BASED ENGINEERING COLLEGES, MAINLYCOMPRISING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, BIO-MEDICAL, FOOD TECH AND PHARMACY SEATS AND A FEW CSE & ECE SEATS.

    MY WBJEE 2008 RANK IS 18300.I HAVE APPEARED IN THE FIRST COUNCELLING ,BUT REFUSED TO TAKE A SEAT IN THE COLLEGES THAT WERE OFFERED TO ME.AT THAT TIME THEY HAV’NT GIVEN ME ANY INFORMATION ABOUT RECOUNCELLING, THEREFORE I COULD NOT ENTER MY NAME IN THE WAITING LIST.     and i got admission to INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND MANAGMENT(IEM) IN ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING i.e. ECE.
