Bachelor in Medical Laboratory Technology (BMLT) Admission 2010 in SMIMS – GANGTOK

Introduction: The Sikkim Manipal University of Health , Medical and Technological Sciences was established in 1995. It is the first government-private initiative in the region. SMU is recognized by the University Grants Commission and approved by the Govern- ment of India.

Eligibility:
A candidate must have passed 10+2(PCB/Math) with minimum 50% for general (5% relaxation for North Eastern States ST, S & OBC)

Mode of selection:
On the basis of 10+ 2 marks and interview.

Important Dates:
Last date for receipt of filled in application forms 31 July 2010
Counselling/Admission 16 August 2010
Commencement of first semester 23 August 2010

Documents required to be submitted at the time of Admission:
Class X certificate for date of birth
Original marksheet and certificate of qualifying exam
Transfer certificate or School/College leaving certificate
Migration certificate
For North East students Domicile /PRC certificate from appropriate authority
For ST/SC/OBC candidates with less than 50% marks in 10+2, SC/ST/OBC certificate from Appropriate Authority.
Four (4) recent, identical passport size Photographs.

Mode of Payment:
The fee should be remitted by a demand draft in favour of “ Sikkim Manipal University” payable at Gangtok.
Parents who are unable to pay fees by DD can deposit their ward’s fee through cash by depositing the same in the bank through bank challan available with Finance Department.

Schedule of Payment of Fees:
Fee can be paid in lump sum amount which is one time every year and to be paid at the beginning of odd semester (1 Aug. to 31 August every year). However the institution offers the students the option of paying the fees in two easy installments per year i.e in the beginning of every semester during odd semester (01Aug. to 31 Aug) and for even semester (15 Jan. to 20 Feb).

Note: Delayed payment of fees will attract a modest fine of 0.5% p.m in the first month, 1% in the second and third month and 2% for 3 months onwards
