About Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS):
Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences” is a budding institute in
the field of medical-education and research. It is an institution set
up with the objective of providing medical services to the society with

The institute is promoted by “Saraswathi Ammal Educational and Charitable Trust”-Chennai, under the guidance of Shri. J. Ramchandran, Chairman of the instituteand chancellor of AMET university-Chennai. SIMS is a medical college recently set-up along with a modern hospital and research centre, having highly qualified doctors,
professors, scholars, nurses, technicians, administrative staff,security cell etc.

The institute offers medical degree course, “MBBS” (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery)
program commencing from 2008-2009 and is committed to the quest of
excellence and also to embrace all aspects of medical education. The

Eligibility:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 level examination from State
Board/ISC/CBSE or its equivalent from recognized board/ University
with English as subject; securing minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC)
marks on average in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together.

How To Apply:
U.P. Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association conducts U.P.
Combined Medical Entrance Test every year for admission in M.B.B.S
first year. Candidates should appear for this exam in order to get
admission in Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences. Candidates
should have minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. At
the time of admission the candidate should be minimum 17 years and
above in age.

Fee Structure :
Fee will be charged as per the order of Hon’ble Supreme Court and is
to be paid by demand draft.

Duration:
The duration of the course is of 54 months. In this period the student
have to undergo 9 semesters of six months each along with one year of
compulsory rotating internship
