National Institute of Technology(NIT)(Patna) Is Offering M.Tech (Full Time Program) Admision In Patna 2010
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission in the M. Tech Program during academic session 2010-11 under following different departments and specialization(s)

Mech. Engg:
(i) Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Transfer

Eligibility:
B. Tech./ B.E./ B.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent Degree in specified branch/ specialization with minimum % marks in aggregate/CGPA (in ten point Scale) as detailed below:

CGPA: 6.75 76.5 Sponsored 60%/
CGPA: 6.75 85 (if GATE Score is available) or based on written test and/ or Interview SC/ ST/ PH 55%/

Reserved Category:
Seats available for SC/ ST/ PH and OBC category as per rules of the MHRD, Govt. of India. Limited seats are available under sponsored category. If suitable candidate is not available under sponsored category, seats shall be transferred to General category. The details are available in Information Brochure for the program. 10 Registration in 1st Semester M. Tech Program 12th & 13th Aug 2010 Thursday & Friday.
11 Commencement of Classes 16th Aug 2010 Monday Candidates must write on top of the envelope “Admission to M. Tech Program- 2010: Branch – Civil/ Elect/ Mech.”. Completed application for admission on the prescribed form be sent by Registered post/ Speed post/ Currier service or be deposited in Academics Section. The application must reach on or before last date and time for submission of the same to The Assistant Registrar (Admission), Academic Section National Institute of Technology Patna Ashok Raj Path, Patna – 800005

1.) NIT Patna will not be responsible for any postal delays in receipt of application.

Admission Procedures:
The institute offers Post-graduate Program (M.Tech.) under different disciplines and specializations by various Departments. The details of specialization, Minimum Eligibility criterion and Seat distribution under different department are as detailed below. The duration of M. Tech. full time Programme is four semester (24 months). The course structure for different department/ specialization is placed at Annexure – II for reference. Institution Level Counselling for seats under different specilisation under different catogaries of candidates including Sponsored category candidates shall be conducted by the Institute, as per schedule notified in the information brochure for the program. The eligible candidates are required to apply to get admitted to the M. Tech. programmes in the Institution. Applications for admission of candidates through Institute Level Counselling are invited through an advertisement in the leading newspapers and institute website.Admission for the M. Tech program against sanctioned seats during current session (2009-10) shall be done by the institute based on GATE Score. However admission to the program during next session is proposed to be taken through Centralized Admission Counselling for M. Tech Information Brochure M. Tech Program 2010-11, NIT Patna 7 program of all NIT’s in India from next academic session.
