Lalaland is a campus merchandise firm started by IIT and IIM students, catering to the
campus merchandise needs of college students in India. After a two week sell-out at IIT
Kharagpur in April 2009, they are introducing an entire range of campus merchandise for
the students, alumni and faculty of the 7 IITs and 6 IIMs. The merchandise will be available
at the commencement of the new academic session. As a campus representative you will be performing the following activities.
1) The merchandise can be availed through our campus representative in each campus.
2) The campus representatives will be responsible for managing distribution, marketing and
finances in their respective campus for a period of one academic year. The distribution will
be done by taking orders online & via phone, and delivering or getting the merchandise delivered to the students.
3) Tie up with a local store owner in the campus, who will sell the merchandise. A commission will be given to
the store owner for every piece of merchandise sold. The commission will be decided by the campus representative.
4) Campus representative will also be responsible for acquiring additional orders for other campus merchandise.
They have to track opportunities like social & cultural festivals, Inter/Intra college sports meets, to produce
theme-specific merchandise. The campus representative model is highly entrepreneurial in nature. The compensation
of the representative will be proportional to the total sales in the campus. The model for the same is differential
in nature, i.e. share will increase significantly in case of high sales, or in case of representatives’ own initiative
in tapping opportunities for other campus merchandise.This will be an immense opportunity for you as you will be
getting an experience of working in a start-up and earning at the same time.The compensation will be decided once
you are selected as a campus representative.
