About Indian Instituite of Crop Processing Technolgy :
A Research and Development Laboratory was established in the modern rice mill complex of Thanjavur Co-operative Marketing Federation (TCMF) at Tiruvarur in 1968. Under the dedicated leadership and the able guidance of late Dr.V.Subramanyan, an eminent scientist and founder Director of Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore, this laboratory made significant contributions in the field of postharvest technology of paddy. Thus in 1972, the status of this R & D Laboratory was upgraded as a national laboratory under the name of “Paddy Processing Research Centre” (PPRC).
Eligibility:
Pass +2 or equivalent examination with major (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics with 50% marks) .
How To Apply:
candidates can obtain the application form from the institute by paying Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST Candidates) by cash/ demand draft drawn in favour of “The Director, IICPT, Thanjavur” or by sending a requisition letter along with a Demand Draft for Rs.550/- (Rs.300/- in case of SC/ST candidates) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be addressed.Application can be downloaded from www.pprc.gov.in and the filled in application should be sent along with prescribed fees and all the enclosures by Speed / Registered post to the Director.
