Indian Institute of Foreign Management, Bhopal (University) Is Organizing National Level Entrepreneurship Summit and DAKSH-10 the Social Business Plan Contest 2010
Introduction:
The Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) was established by the Government of India after accepting the recommendations of FAO/SIDA to improve the efficiency of investments requiring managerial inputs from the field of management science to achieve the desired productivity. The IIFM has been entrusted with the role of pushing forward the rural development by creating opportunities for the people in a sustainable environment.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell(EDC) was established in the year 2009 by the students of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among college students in India and nurturing young people with bright ideas.
In the first year of its inception we endeavored a national level event ‘Daksh 09’ which included ‘Entrepreneurship Summit and B-Plan Competition’ and was in consonance with the theme of ‘Inclusive Growth’. The event was honored by the presence of eminent personalities like Mr. Brij Mohan (Chairman, Access Development services), Mr. Paul Basil (CEO Villgro) and Mr. Rahul Bist (Co-founder M2i Consulting).
Details:
The participants can choose the area of their interests. Some of the suggested areas are:
? Agribusiness
? Clean/Green Energy
? Eco-Tourism
? Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Rural Development
? Rural Enterprise Development ? Marketing and Supply Chain management
? Any other idea which shows a societal perspective
Size of team: 1 or 2 Management graduates, Engineering graduates and start-ups are eligible to participate
Theme of Contest:
Theme of the event is “Envision change, create opprotunities” like last year it will have 2 panel discussions
Panel 1: “To be an Entrepreneur”
Panel 2: “Making an impact on the bottom of Pyramid”
