Birla Institute of Management Technology was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture, and supported by Birla group of companies. Dr. (Smt.) Sarala Birla, chairperson of Birla Academy and Syt. B K Birla, chairperson of B K Birla Group of companies are the founders of the business school. It has progressed from a moderate start to the 12 th rank in INDIA. The Board of Governors is comprised of eminent people from industry and headed by Sri R N Jaju, President, ECE Industries.
BIMTECH is mini India in its formation every year. It has students coming almost from all the states of India, and also from few foreign countries. Our PGDM programme is meant for those who want to shape their career in business and excel in it after a strong academic background. The course structure provides flexibility for innovation and experimentation depending on the learning needs and demand of new understanding of knowledge economy. PGDM is designed on the principle that a proper balance of theory and practice is needed to aid managerial skill formation for effective decision-making and problem solving in the ensuing globalised environment.
The programme is offered in six academic trimesters, including compulsory summer training after completion of first year. Trimesters are designed with appropriate academic objective to offer the programme in order to define the graduates at the end of the programme.
There are many modules delivered by foreign professors from highly reputed universities of international standing.
Eligibility:
A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate. Candidates appearing in the final examination of Bachelor’s Degree are also eligible to apply subject to the completion of degree requirements with minimum 50% marks.
Selection:
Selection to the programmes is based on CAT 2009 performance. Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
